On 28th of August 1995, millions of TV viewers in the US watched Fox Network's Alien Autopsy: Fact or Fiction, a controversial film that purports to show what appears to be two masked pathologists carefully dissecting an extraterrestrial life form. The claimed 1947 alien autopsy footage has left its viewers under the impression that several doctors, film-makers and experts believe that Santilli's footage might be genuine.
The alien was similar in form to a human, but with a number of minor anatomical differences. The human-like features of the hypothetical alien suggest that it is either a dummy patterned after a human body or a doctored human corpse. According to CSICOP, the film raised suspicion. There has immediately emerged an overwhelming amount of evidence in the form of contradictions, inconsistencies, false claims and lies to indicate that the alien autopsy footage is a hoax.
The "documentary" has surely stirred up a lot of debate since it first surfaced in 1995. Several Academy Award winners found the footage rather unspectacular and relatively easy to fake. According to Santilli he had sent the film footage to Kodak for genuineness in 1995, but Graham Birdsall of UFO Magazine checked into it with Kodak and discovered that Santilli hadn't sent the entire footage to Kodak but only the leader tape and a single frame.
There hasn't been found any evidence to prove that the footage is authentic. However, many people are still claiming that the alien autopsy footage is actually a government cover-up for the real documentary.
